Prerequisite: Anti-Hijacking / Vehicle Close Quarter Survival Course
Pre-range rules:
- When arriving at the shooting range, your firearm must be in a bag, box, or a holster.
- On arrival at the shooting range, do not handle or remove the firearm from the bag, box or holster.
- Report to the range officer immediately on arrival at the range.
- Fill in and sign the range register.
- Ask the range officer for permission to unpack or handle firearms.
What to bring along:
• Legal Handgun.
• Minimum of 300 rounds per pistol.
• A sturdy belt with a inside or outside the waistband holster.
• Magazine pouch with at least one extra magazine for pistols. Try to bring a speed loader for revolvers.
• Handheld OR Weapon Mounted Light OR Both. Recommendation: A Weapon Mounted Light.
• Own food and drinks (Non-alcoholic). Please bring enough drinking water!
• EAR PROTECTION.
• EYE PROTECTION, for night time as well !!!
• Knee pads if possible.
• Sunscreen.
• Chair.
• Pen and notepad.
• An open mind, and a whole lot of positive attitude!
Suitable Dress:
• Comfortable closed shoes ( boots, tekkies etc.).
• Baseball type cap.
• Comfortable shirt that is not to lose hanging, that can be tucked into your pants.
• Jacket that can be zipped or buttoned open.
• Sturdy wide belt.
Course content:
• Situational awareness
• The use of cover in & around a vehicle with light assisting methods
• Search & Engage using light assisting methods
• Manipulating your weapon platform in confined spaces, low light conditions
• Moving / Muzzle discipline in & around a vehicle
• Moving & shooting (around a vehicle) Low Light & No Light
• Shooting positions around a vehicle with light assisting methods
• Fighting in & around your vehicle with & without a light source
